To apply for the Gales Emerging Talent Scholarship:

The scholarship is for an artist between 20 and 30 years old and waives the $160 entry fee to Portland Open Studios. The recipient is also awarded $100. See www.portlandopenstudios.com for more information.

Conditions of Application & Participation in Portland Open Studios for ALL Applicants

I agree with the following conditions in order to participate in Portland Open Studios

I will open my studio and be present all hours from 10 am to 5 pm on the weekend of the event that corresponds to my studio location: westside studios Oct 11-12, OR eastside studios Oct 18-19 and be open for both weekends if you have selected that option.
I will be at work and show visitors some aspect of making my art. I will show visitors my work space, materials, tools and work-in-progress.
I will display my own original artwork in a professional manner.
I will Contribute 8 hours of volunteer time unless I have paid the additional opt out fee of $150.
If I drop out after May 1 no money will be refunded. No changes of studio location, phone, email, artwork etc can be made in the Tour Guide after May 1.
Submitting images constitutes my permission for Portland Open Studios to utilize those images for publicity purposes in print and on the web
